This web set was created for a personal or business web site focusing on Chinese Astrology.  The graphic of this set features a photographic rendition of the twelve classic animals attributed to Chinese Zodiac and the Yin-Yang symbol of balance.  I chose to use a photograph of  a dragon lizard for the sign of the dragon.

A web site title can be fit into the web page as is demonstrated above.  The title is separate from the Chinese Zodiac graphic.   Suggested navigation buttons can be seen below.  The font I used for this web set is called "MandarinD."   If you don't have a graphic program capable of creating the title or inserting the button text you need, e-mail me and I will do it for you as time allows.  Below you will also find the graphic divider, navigation graphics and bullet designed for this page.

bulletChinese Astrology is most widely known in the West for its 12-year cycle of animals, referred to as the Chinese Zodiac.  Chinese Astrology incorporates: the Zodiac, the five elements of Chinese thought, calendrical cycles based on astronomy, and ancient Chinese religion.   This makes for 8640 combinations (5 elements, 12 animals, 12 months, 12 times of day).

bulletThe twelve zodiac animal signs (shengxiao) are, in order: the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep (or goat), monkey, rooster, dog, and pig.  Legend has it that the rat was given the task to invite the animals to report to the Jade Emperor to be selected for the zodiac signs.  The cat was a good friend of the rat, but the rat forgot to invite him.  So the cat vowed to be the rat's natural enemy for ages to come.  Interestingly the cat -- but not the rabbit -- is included in the Vietnamese Zodiac.

bulletA laborious system of computing one's fate and destiny based on one's birthday and birth hours (known as Zi Wei Dou Shu) is still used regularly in modern day Chinese Astrology.  The twenty-eight Chinese constellations are quite different from the eighty-eight Western constellations.  For example, the belt of Orion is known as shen, or the "Happiness, Fortune, Longevity"  trio.

bulletThe yearly cycles represent what others perceive you as being.   The inner animal is assigned by the month of birth and dictates an individual's love life and inner persona.  The inner animal also reflects what the individual wishes to become, and believes to be their true self.  The secret animal is determined by the exact time of birth and is the individual's "true sign" which their personality is based on.
