This is an Islamic background theme page, the design is based on the beautiful calligraphy of Islam.  The calligraphy focuses on the word from the Koran translated as "paradise," the concept of "heaven" to those of Islamic faith.  Islamic calligraphy is a method of artistically expressing the divine and has developed into a highly elaborate art form because the Islamic faith disallows "graven images."   I suggest using a brown colored text as shown.

Above you see a title graphic for you to insert a web page title on.  If you don't have a graphic program capable of doing that, e-mail me and I will do it for you as time allows.  Below you will find the graphic divider and bullets designed for this page.  The buttons designed for this page also are linked for this site so that you can navigate through it.

bullet Calligraphy is a venerated form of Islamic art because it provides a link between the languages of the Muslims with the religion of Islam.  The holy book of Islam, the Qur'an, has played an important role in the development and evolution of the Arabic language, and by extension, calligraphy in the Arabic alphabet.  Proverbs and complete passages from the Qur'an are still active sources for Islamic calligraphy.  The Arabic alphabet consists of 28 letters and 18 different forms of writing.
bullet The descriptions of paradise (Jannah) are mentioned in significant detail in the Qur'an, hadith, and traditional exegeses.  Paradise is described as surrounded by eight principal gates, each level generally being divided into a hundred degrees.  The highest level is known as firdaws (sometimes called Eden).  It will be entered first by Muhammad (pbuh), then those who lived in poverty, and then the most pious.  Entrants will be greeted by angels with salutations of peace.
