This is a Celtic theme page, using the Celtic cross and Scottish thistle. I suggest using this purple colored text as shown.
This dark gray is nice also, but I think using it just for visited links would be enough.
Above you see the title graphic and what a web page title inserted into it can look like. I used "Kells round" for the font.
