This is a Native American border theme page. I used the Kachina as the focus because of my fascination with them since a child. The San Francisco Mountains north of Flagstaff, Arizona, are home to spirits called Kachina (also katchina or katcina) by the Hopi Indians. The Kachinas make themselves apparent in all of nature, but the Hopi are the ones who make them truly visible in costumes, dancing, and dolls.
Above you see a sample title graphic with a Kachina, in the .zip file you will find a blank one for you to insert a web page title on. If you don't have a graphic program capable of doing that, e-mail me and I will do it for you as time allows. Below you will find the graphic dividers and bullets designed for this page. The font used on the buttons (there is a blank for you to insert the links you need) and suggested for the Kachina title graphic above is called "Zinjaro LET." I have also included a Kachina e-mail graphic and navigation graphics (you could place them at the bottom of your pages if appropriate) that match this web set.
Kachinas are respected spirits, but they are not worshipped. They
have a partnership with the Hopi, each giving gifts to the other.
One source explains: "The Kachinas have things the Hopi want, such as
rain and a guarantee of a fruitful harvest, and the Hopi have things
the Kachinas want--prayer feathers, cornmeal, rituals." There are
more than four hundred kinds of Kachinas, representing plants, animals,
insects, warriors, runners, guards, clowns, and ogres.
